You should avoid using IP addresses and computer names as these may not be familiar to the majority of your staff. It is also not advisable to use an individual’s name as it is possible that staff move around and there could be confusion about the actual location where assistance is required. You could however use, for example, Janet Jones’ PC or Janet Jones’ Office if this defines a unique location.
Please note, you can configure buttons with identical location names, for example, ‘Reception’ to prevent alerts being displayed on any computer with the same location name.
If desired you can add a telephone number which will also be displayed on the panic alerts.
You also have the option of giving a map showing your location. If you know them, you can enter the co-ordinates of your location in the Map position boxes. Click the View Map link to confirm that the location is set correctly, if necessary you can use the map to adjust your position.
By default Little Green Button will prompt you to select your location each time the button starts, if the location set here is unlikely to change tick the Don’t prompt for location on this computer box to prevent this dialogue being displayed each time.
Click OK when done.

Now you need to activate the licence. You should have received an email that contains the activation code that you require.
Right click on this activation code and select copy, then return to your Little Green Button wizard.
If you have closed the wizard, right click on the button, (currently displaying a key image), go to Licensing and select Activate.
Click on the radio button next to 'I will enter an activation code' then right click and select Paste to input your activation code into the box below, then press Next.
Your activation code will be accepted and on the final screen you will see the expiry date of your trial. Click Finish.
If you have not yet signed up for a trial and therefore do not yet have an activation code, please click on the link below this first box. You will be taken to our website to complete the form for a free 1 day trial of Little Green Button.
The Import from file option is there for those users who perhaps have limited internet access, or have firewalls or proxies that prevent communication to our licence server. Please speak to us if you need to use this option, we will send you the file that is required.
You will now see the green button appear in the top right corner of your computer screen:
Important: Once you have set up your first Little Green Button it will turn grey after a few moments. It will stay grey until you have installed other Little Green Buttons. When a Little Green Button is grey this is warning you that there are no users currently available to respond to a request for assistance.
